Want to know what to expect?
Once again, thank you for taking the time to learn more about Sycamore BC.
We hope this page helps you get to know us better and prepares you for worship with us this Sunday.
Each Sunday brings exciting opportunities to worship Jesus Christ.
SUNDAY SCHOOL | 9:30 AM
During our Bible study time, we dig a little deeper into God's word in small groups that meet all over the church. We have groups for all ages. When you arrive at Sycamore Baptist Church, you will find members of our First Impression Team at all the doors. Just let them know you are new to our church, and they will help you find the Bible study group that is right for you and your family, kids too. We even have Bibles available to use while you are here, if you don't bring your own.
WORSHIP SERVICE | 10:45 AM & 6:00 PM
Our worship services blend the comfort and familiarity of traditional worship with the excitement of a contemporary worship service through both instrumental and vocal music. The Sycamore Choir helps lead in worship through the singing of hymns and choruses. A variety of worship singers, soloists, and small groups bring special selections as offerings of praise to our Lord. Members of Sycamore Baptist Church also worship by giving, and through prayer and Bible study. CD's of the Pastor's sermons are available for both the morning and evening service. If you would like one, please call the church office or send an email request to Lori Owen, Secretary.
Each Wednesday delivers even more possibilities to enjoy and grow in the Lord.
WEDNESDAY SUPPER: 5:30 PM
Come enjoy great food and great fellowship! At only $3 per person with a $12 max per family, it is an incredible meal.
AWANAS: 6:00 PM WEDNESDAY
Bring your children and watch them engage in God's Word through this program. The acronym “AWANA” comes from the first letters of the phrase, “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed” (2 Timothy 2:15). Awana believes that children are most receptive to the Gospel when they are young and that children’s ministry is the richest mission field in the church. Awana meets weekly and consists on three segments: Game time, Small Group time, and Large Group time. Each child will receive a handbook and wear a uniform to club every week. Awana Clubs are divided into three age groups: Cubbies (preschool ministry for 3 and 4 year olds), Sparks (K-2nd Grade), and Truth & Training (3rd–6th grade).
SBC STUDENTS: 6:00 PM WEDNESDAY
We’re dedicated to empowering students, across Sycamore and beyond, to a brighter tomorrow. Our student have loads of fun as they build new friendships and grow through discipleship in God's Word. Open to all high school students (7-12th grade), our weekly gatherings are relaxed and welcoming, encouraging students to be all that God has made them to be.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
Many members and guests find that it’s easier and more fulfilling to participate in Bible study when they have their own copy of the Bible with them during worship, so that they can underline or highlight particular verses for later study. During worship, key Bible verses will be displayed on the overhead screens for those who do not have a Bible with them and for those who carry a different translation. If you prefer to take notes on paper, space is provided in the bulletin for personal thoughts, points, and reflection.
WHERE DO I PARK?
There is abundant accessible parking available directly across the street in front of our main sanctuary. For those who may need assistance, we offer valet parking. Just pull up into the drive through entrance, which is the first drive on your right, next to the church. There, a member will assist you out of your car and into the church. They can even park your vehicle for you. After church, your car will be ready under the drive through and you will be assisted into your vehicle. So, please feel free to use our valet parking under the drive through.
