Join us Sunday, September 24 for Sunday at the Cave. We will have normal Sunday
Morning worship here at the church and then we will gather at Desoto Caverns for
lunch and an afternoon of fun and fellowship as a church family. Please bring a
covered dish or 2 to share with everyone for our potluck lunch. See you at the Cave!In October we begin a new church year. Please make plans to be part of a Bible Study
group on Sunday mornings at 10:45 am. We have a group for all ages. It's a great way
to connect with people here at Sycamore as well as dive deeper into God's Word.
AWANA is back!! This is a great children's ministry that meets every Wed night at 6 pm.
Children from ages 3 years old through 6th grade are welcome. AWANA will be off
until September and will start back after school starts again. See you then.
Generation Youth Group Wedesday nights at 6:30 in us for Worship/Word every week in the Youth Room,
located upstairs in the Christian Life Center. Please join Christy as she
teaches our youth on Wednesday nights.
Pastor Mike Owen joined our SBC family in March 2012. He grew up in Gordo, AL and has served in ministry for over 20 years. He graduated from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 1999 with a Master's of Divinity, specializing in preaching. He has a heart for missions, which carried his family to Colorado for over three years, and he has led numerous foreign mission projects in the countries of Brazil and Africa.
He is married to Lori Richardson Owen, and they have three children- Mason, Landon, and Haven. His outgoing personality, coupled with his amazing ability to preach the gospel of Christ, is such a blessing to our Sycamore congregation. His interests include a love for Alabama football and time with his family. You may contact him anytime at
